My name is Jenni Bills, and I am so happy to be the AIS School Nurse! I hold a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Harding University, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Memphis (Tennessee). I have been a Registered Nurse (RN) in the US since 2006 and currently maintain my RN license in the state of Tennessee.

I come to AIS with 13 years of experience practicing medical/surgical nursing, from large university teaching hospitals to smaller regional medical centers. As a mom of 4 AIS students aged elementary to middle school, I have also seen lots of childhood illnesses and injuries! I want to show your students the same care and concern that I do my own.

I look forward to working together for a healthy school!

Health Services

Under the leadership of the school's registered nurse, the purposes of the School Health Office are to :

  • coordinate care for students with ongoing health needs;

  • manage students' acute injuries/illnesses;

  • plan and lead school health programs and policies to advocate for student health;

  • educate students and families on vital health and wellness information, including healthy habits and community health risks;

  • develop and implement emergency action plans for students with allergies, asthma, or other ongoing health conditions; and

  • provide first aid and timely decisions on emergency services.

First Aid training for our faculty/staff is coordinated by the school nurse and ongoing throughout the school year. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification is kept current among the faculty and staff.
