Health Services
Since a school brings together large numbers of learners and teachers – a system must be put into place to deal with issues such as first aid, injuries, medical emergencies, and detection of contagious conditions. School health services are an easy access point to health care for students.
We have a health office at both secondary and elementary campuses. The secondary campus is managed by Olabimpe Quartey (Nurse Q), Elementary campus is managed by Justina Adamafio.
School health services are both preventive and curative services and it helps in providing information to parents and school personnel on the health status of school children.
The Health Office at AIS and the school nurses want to advance the well-being, academic success, and life-long achievement of students. The AIS school nurses facilitate positive student responses to normal development; promote health and safety; intervene with actual and potential health problems; provide case management services; and actively collaborate with others to build student and family capacity for adaptation, self- Management, self-advocacy, and learning.& self-advocacy, and learning.
The school health service aims to promote healthy development and well-being so students may reach their full potential. Students are better prepared for learning when they are healthy, safe, and happy.
